It's an upscale diner for those that appreciate good food. Chit chat is our spot that we can always go to for a great brunch or delicious dinner anytime. I was just in for lunch and had an amazing California BLT. Amazingly flavorful. The turbo omelet is another favorite of mine, it's grilled chicken avocado tomatoes feta egg white omlette with whole grain toast and home fries. The food is fresh and most of the produce is organic. We Love Chit Chat.

Wow, what an excellent dining experience! Maybe it's just because I've come to expect so little from a diner, but I felt like this place was really impressive. With a great atmosphere, good music, and plenty of refreshingly bright, clean and hip decor, this place really brightened my whole day, even after sitting in a good bit of rush hour traffic on 80 to get here.
Sometimes dining alone can be a bummer, but definitely not here. I was greeted almost immediately by the server, Petra, who was consistently friendly and attentive throughout my meal. The menu is diverse but not complicated, offering a number of classic diner dishes plus a handful of more creative offerings.
To eat, I ordered the "traditional" wrap -- a Mexican-inspired wrap filled to the maximum capacity with beans, brown rice, red onions, and plenty of other delicious and clearly fresh ingredients. The wrap itself was hot and toasty out of the panini press, while the ingredients inside were the appropriate temperatures -- warm rice and beans, cool and crisp veggies.
This brings me to my favorite thing about the Chit Chat, a feature which will undoubtedly bring me back here at the slightest excuse (probably every time I need to stop in at Bergen County Harley down the street) -- simply the BEST SLAW EVER. With raisins. Crisp and fresh, obviously homemade, words just can't describe the absolute perfection that is the slaw at this diner. Truly amazing. I'm still blown away thinking about it now, days later.
So please, check this place out and enjoy! Good for that occasional lonely meal, or 2-3 people, or maybe even a larger group now and then.

Enjoyed a weekday breakfast at this diner... Scrambled eggs, multi-grain toast, tea. The food was fresh and tasty, the service was quite good. This place seems to be a step above a standard diner, with whimsical decor and above average food selection. A delightful find for this business traveler!

What more can you ask from a diner? In NJ there are like millions of them which are all in the lower quality aspects in my honest opinion... but this diner is pretty damn good...
Try their egg white omelette with spinach salada for breakfast, grab shrimp po-boy for lunch and grab a light beer (yes.. they serve alcohol) with waffle fries and wings!!!
You won't regret it... YUM!!!

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite diners. It was recently stumbled upon on a lazy Sunday. The food was great and not the typical diner food although they also serve the usual diner staples. The service was very good and the place is very nicely decorated, Art Deco style. Definitely recommend giving it a try and certainly going back again soon.
